1870 Census, Ritchie Co, WV (Union Twp), enumerated on Jun 15 1870:
Thomas D. Pritchard, 52, farmer; Mary, 58; Jerushia A, 22; Thomas T, 21; Margaret E. Bennington, 13, domestic servant.
Reports by some researchers of Thomas Dickerson Pritchard's death in Lewis County in 1862/63 are clearly incorrect.
The adjacent household on one side was that of Thomas & Mary's son Elias R. Pritchard, and on the other side that of Mary's first cousin William Robert Lowther.
