On March 31, 1848, in Doddridge County, Joseph & Hannah Davis signed a deed donating a lot to the Middle Island Seventh Day Baptist Church where the Pioneer Cemetery (aka the Old SDB section of Blockhouse Hill Cemetery) is now located.
