"Death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Cumbridge (sic) last week and claimed their baby boy. The interment was a tWilbur in charge of Carl Pease. The family have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement."

Local news item in the "Wilbur News" column of the "West Union Herald," Thursday, Nov 9 1916, in its entirety:
"The five months old child of Mr. and Mrs. Ira E. Cumberledge of Central Station died one day last week and the remains were brought here the following day and was laid to rest in the cemetery at 1 o'clock P.M."
