FORMER WEST UNION MAN IS HURT IN WRECK
H. M. Haldeman, formerly a West Union merchant, but now a traveling salesman of Elkins, was badly injured in a bad wreck on the C & O Tuesday of last week. As the train was pulling out of a tunnel, a huge stone crashed through the top of the smoking car, killing four and injuring nine. Mr. Haldeman was pinned back over a seat for two hours. One rib was broken, one ankle smashed, and he was otherwise bruised. He is said to be doing nicely in a Huntington hospital.
