Isaac B. McNemar, 26, farmer; Elizabeth, 30; Epseby (female), 6; Mary P, 4; Sarah E, 2.
The 1860 Census shows that after Elizabeth died, at least some of the children were taken into other homes:
On Jun 11 in Lewis County, Hepsibah McNemar, 16, was found in the home of Abram Smith, 59, farmer; Elizabeth, 52; Edgar, 19; Martha C, 16.
On Jun 25 in Lewis County, Sarah E. McNemar, 12, was found in the home of Gideon D. Spain, 25, Margaret P, 22; Flavius W, 4; Harman L, 2; Alfred M, 10 months. Nearby households were headed by Philip McNemar, 79, and John McNemar, 44, but Isaac and the remaining children were not to be found.
Isaac's wife-to-be was found as head-of-household on Jun 19 in Lewis County:
Barbara A. Hines, 34; Lucy A, 5; Elizabeth J, 4; Christina Montgomery, 17.
Isaac and Barbary were married four months later in Lewis County.
1870 Census, Lewis Co, WV (Sheridan Twp), enumerated on Jul 13 1870:
Isaac McNemar, 50, farmer; Barbara, 40; Jane, 15; James, 11; Nancy, 8; George W, 5; Thomas, 2.
