The exact form of Sarah's last name is unclear, as many variations have been found. In "The History of Doddridge County," p. 76, she is identified as Sarah Ann Linkswiler, in the death record of son Joshua as Sarah Linswaller, in death record of son George as Sarah Linkswaller but in his obituary as Sarah Linkswallow, in death record of son Joseph as Sarah Linkwiller, in death record and obituary of son Edward as Sarah Linkswaller, in death record of daughter Mary as Sarah Ann Linkwiler, and in death record of daughter Margerite (or Margaret) as Linksville. Her name has also been reported as Sara Ann Linksweiler.
