Notes for: Andrew Nutter

Resident of Harrison County, and later Ritchie & Doddridge Counties, in present-day West Virginia. He served in the War of 1812 in Captain Davis's company, attached to the First Regiment, First Battalion, and First Brigade of the Virginia Militia, participated in the engagement of Fort Defiance on the Maumee River, and was discharged at Delaware, Ohio on April 4, 1813.
