Notes for: Joseph Davisson

Served in Revolutionary War, spending the winter of 1777-78 with Washington's troops at Valley Forge. Resided on Simpson's Creek at the present site of Bridgeport, Harrison Co, WV. His seven children were Margaret (ca 1778-1857), John (ca 1778), Oscar, Joseph (1783), Amaziah, Nancy (1792-1867), and Benjamin C. (ca 1797 - ca 1855). ["The Davissons," pp. 116-117]
