Local news item, "Doddridge County Republican," Thursday, Sep 28 1916, in its entirety:
"Miss Cora Maxwell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Maxwell of Church Street, left Monday morning for Buckhannon, where she will attend the West Virginia Wesleyan this year."
