Notes for: Hadsel Mansfield Ford
Local news item, West Union Herald, Thursday, July 17 1913:
"Hatsel [sic] Ford, the 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ford, of Middle Island Route, about four miles below town, was bitten by a cat about one week ago, while after the cows. Nothing much was thought of the matter at the time, but as the cat acted strangely, it was thought best to consult local physicians, and upon their advice the boy was taken to the Pasteur Institute at Baltimore Monday evening. The head of the cat was also taken and a test will be made to know if the animal was effected with rabies."
