Notes for: Jesse Phillip Cox

Local news item, "West Union Herald," Thursday, Jan 15 1925, in its entirety:
"J. P. Cox of Avon, the only man in this section of the country who held the distinction of having initials of the same before and after his name, was in town Monday and made the Herald office a pleasant call. Jesse, who has been Justice of the Peace in his section for twelve years, is glad that he is able to lose the J. P. which preceded (sic) his name, as he said he has held the office long enough."
