Notes for: Enoch B. Leggett
Resided in Marion County after marriage until moving to Slab Creek in Ritchie County, where he played an important part in the early affairs of the community. He was one of the charter members of the first church organization there, was the donor of the grounds for the church and cemetery, known as "Bethel" or "Old Slab," and was one of the principal factors in its erection. He later moved to the Harrisville vicinity, where his milling business was destroyed by fire in 1871, and later to Holbrook.
