1900 Census, Wetzel Co, WV (Green District), enumerated Jun 12 1900:
John Haught, 59, b. Aug 1840, farmer, married 26 yrs; wife Lucretia, 49, b. Mar 1851, married 26 yrs, mother of 8 children (7 still living); son Ira N, 24, b. Mar 1876, single, farm laborer; dau Marthy A, 22, b. Oct 1877, single; son Emory, 21, b. Apr 1879, single; dau Mary D, 18, b. Jun 1881; son Joseph M, 15, b. Sep 1884; dau Rosy L, 10, b. Apr 1890; son Earl, 5, b. Nov 1894.
(NOTE: This census does not take into account daughter Zoa M. Haught, known from her birth record to have been born on Sep 4 1884, and who married Ora Dotson in 1904 and died in 1911. Conversely, this census is the only mention found of a son Joseph M. Haught. born in Sep 1884. It appears, then, that the entry of a child Joseph M. Haught was an enumerator's error that should have been entered as Zoa M. Haught.)
