Notes for: Virgil Jennings "VJ" Lattea

As a young man, Virgil worked the family saw mill in West Virginia. He then joined the U.S. Navy with his brother where they served on the USS Dixie AD14 during the
Korean War. He then brought his family to Cumberland, Maryland, where he worked at the B & O Railroad Carpenter’s & Track Gang during the 1960’s. But that required travel which took him away from his family, so he decided to work as a millwright and welder at the Celanese Fiber Plant until its closure in 1983.
