5.DANIEL CAIN 1.NICHOLAS CAIN

Daniel Cain, a son of Nicholas and Catrina (Mann/Mohn) Cain, was

born about 1743 and died after 1806. He married Susannah Custer about

1765. Susannah, a daughter of Arnold and Bridget (Strauder) Kuster, was

born about 1742 and died September 12, 1823. His second wife was Sarah Knight.

A Daniel Cain appear on a 1774 payroll list of Harrison County VA residents who served in Captain William Lowther’s Company of Va militia in Lord Dunmore’s War in 1774. Daniel is credited with 132 days service and appears of the 1787 Harrison County VA personal property tax list.
