Notes for: Robert Gaston

Robert and Rosanna Cooper Gaston resided in Bernard Township, Somerset County, NJ, until about 1770, then in Pequannock Twp, Morris Co, from before 1771 to 1777, returning then to Bedminster Twp, Somerset Co, and then moving to Northumberland Co in about May 1792. He served in the American Revolution as Captain and Lieutenant Colonel of the New Jersey Militia, and as Captain in the Continental Line. He also served as a member of the Committee of Safety for Morris Co, NJ.
