Notes for: Franklin Sommerville

An early settler of Ritchie County, he "made the first improvement on the farm that later became so well known as the Huff Farm, but he fell to his death here, while building a stable, and his wife and child, Mrs. Caroline Chevront Sommerville, and little son, Newton, went to Nebraska."
