Notes for: Marie Adelene (Maxson) Nutter

Natural father was Guy Maxson (Oct 16 1896 - Aug 19 1976). He and Marie's mother Lora Nutter were never married, but Marie always acknowledged him as her father and John Emitt Richards as her stepfather. Guy Maxson came from Ritchie Co to Doddridge Co, WV, and lived at West Union until his death in 1976. [History of Doddridge Co, p. 173] Guy Maxson's obituary identified Mrs. Marie Husk as one of his five surviving children, and John Emitt Richards' obituary identified her as a surviving stepdaughter.
