Name appears as "Talika" in death record of son Orpha (which gives her birthplace as Harrison Co, WV), as "Talitha" in Doddridge County History and Doddridge County Marriages and in death record of son Orie, as "Telitha Cathryn" in death record of daughter Jessie (which also identifies the child's father as David Late Nutter), as Tabitha in 1930 Census, and as "Telitha Catherine" in her own death record, which gives her birthplace as Ritchie Co. A daughter of Stephen and Sabrina Davis Hughes, she was the great-granddaughter of Johnathan Hughes, an Indian Scout and Ensign in the Navy during the Revolutionary War. A marker was erected at this grave in the Eddy Cemetery in 1925 by the DAR.
