She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and caregiver for several years at the former Britton Rest Home in Doddridge Co, WV. After its closing, she continued to care for several elderly people in Doddridge Co. She was a former Emergency Medical Technician and volunteer for the Doddridge County Emergency Squad. She was also a licensed minister and a member of the Potter's House.
