During World War II, she was employed at Glen L. Martin in Baltimore, MD. For 30 years, she was a nanny for Blaine & Lucille Cox of West Union for their children, Jerry Lynn Smith, Trina Cox Thompson, and Kelly Cox. She was also employed at various restaurants and the Doddridge County Senior Citizen Center in her later years.
