Notes for: Hunter Stansberry

A charter member of Cecil Robinson Post 25 of the American Legion, his membership spanned 61 years. He was also a charter member of the Linden B. Gain Barracks 3008, Veterans of World War I in West Union, having been an overseas veteran of the U.S. Army in that war. He served from Jun 6 1917 to Aug 13 1919 in France with the 12th Field Artillery and 2nd Division. He was a member of the Doddridge County Fox Chasers Association and an avid supporter of of Doddridge County High School sports. He retired as a field foreman for South Penn Oil Company with nearly 39 years of service (1919-1957). He was predeceased by five brothers, five sisters, one half-brother, and one half-sister.
