Notes for: Abigale Lydia Samples
Sometimes identified by researchers as Abigail Samples, but her son Frank's obituary states Addie, while daughter Anna's obituary has it as Abagale and Anna's marriage record states Addie Bell Samples. Marriage record has it as Abby, but son's marriage record, husband's death record, and her own death record state Abbie. The 1880 Census has her name as Abigail, the 1900 Census Abigale, the 1910 Census Lydia A (and in daughter Anna's birth record), and both the 1920 and 1930 Census Abby. All but one Census show her birthplace as Pennsylvania, as does her death record.

Schoonover, 28, b. Ohio, carpenter on bridge. Place of birth given as Pennsylvania for Fernando and Lydia, and West Virginia for all other family members.
1920 Census, Harrison Co, WV (Clark District, City of Clarksburg), enumerated on Jan 14 1920:
