Notes for: Henrietta E. Smith

The Husk Hotel in Spencer, Roane Co, WV was owned and operated by Henrietta Smith Husk. Her daughter Virginia ("Jennie") helped run it in the beginning, then she too opened her own hotel next door. The Husk Hotel eventually burned down, and Henrietta then moved next door and helped operate Jennie's hotel.
